Police responded to the Dutchess Community College campus in the early morning hours in September for a report by a student of an alleged sexual assault that took place earlier that night off campus, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

Following an investigation, the police said the 19-year-old female student was sexually assaulted by three male subjects.

The three men, Joel Herrera, 20, Tyler Bryant, 20, and Rene Hernandez, 22, were charged with first-degree criminal sexual act, a class B felony, the newspaper reported.

A college spokeswoman said they had been notified of the assault and immediately called the police, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

All three defendants were remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond, added the newspaper.
