A registered "sexually violent" offender convicted of having sexual contact with a 7-year-old girl has reported a move in Dutchess County.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 19-year-old Jibrail Quick, who has moved to a residence on Rose Street in Poughkeepsie.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Quick as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Quick had deviate sexual intercourse and contact with his victim in August 2013. He was convicted of first-degree criminal sexual act the following year and sentenced to a term of between two and six years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie City Police Department.
