Do you enjoy working with numbers? Have a facility with personal tax preparation and computers? Enjoy meeting people?

These are just a few of the attributes that embody AARP Tax-Aide volunteers.

While it is not necessary to be an accountant, the Tax Aides should be comfortable preparing taxes online, as well as be available to attend free training AARP Foundation will provide.

In addition, the volunteers need to make the time to work at the tax sites once they open for the season.

The free tax preparation is available from February to April 15, 2017.

Hudson Valley CA$H Coalition and AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, and 15 partners including United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region and Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County offers the service.

Those interested in volunteering, should contact Linda Eddy at (845)- 475-7500 or leddy@dutchesscap.org) or, in Orange County, contact Dave Weaving at hvcash@uwdor.org.
