A registered sex offender convicted of raping a teenage girl has reported a move in Dutchess County.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 35-year-old Brian Kravic, who has moved from to a residence on Stormville Road in Hopewell Junction.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Kravic as a level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Kravic had sexual intercourse with his 14-year-old victim in September 2010 and he was convicted of second-degree rape in January the following year. He was sentenced to three years in state prison and is now under the jurisdiction of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
