Sex Offender Convicted Of Abusing Girl Reports Move Into Poughkeepsie

A registered sex offender convicted of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl has reported a move in Dutchess County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 54-year-old Joe Doyle, who has moved to an apartment on Noxon Street in Poughkeepsie.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Doyle as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Doyle was convicted of first-degree sexual abuse on Long Island in 1995 after having sexual intercourse with his 11-year-old victim. He was convicted in August 1995 and sentenced to a term of five years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie City Police Department.
