The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 24-year-old Shane Duon, who has moved to an apartment on Main Street in Poughkeepsie.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Duhon as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Duhon had sexual contact with a 5-year-old girl in 2014 and was convicted of second-degree sexual abuse for having such contact with a victim less than 14 years old in 2016. He served time and is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie City Police Department.
