DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - Seven of eight people traveling in a landscaping truck were injured in Lagrangeville on Wednesday morning after the driver struck a tree, spilling fuel near the crash site.

Police confirmed that at approximately 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning, eight employees from Eastern View Landscaping in Wappingers Falls were involved in an accident on Noxon Road, when the truck they were being transported in struck a tree before coming to a rest near a small stream.

Seven employees traveling in the truck were treated for non-life threatening injuries at the MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. As of Wednesday afternoon, their conditions and identities had not yet been released.

During the crash, an undisclosed amount of fuel spilled in the area and into the stream. The cause of the accident is under investigation and no tickets for a violation have reportedly been issued.
