A stretch of Route 202 in Cortlandt has reopened after a one-car crash with injuries resulted in its closure Thursday.

The closure, in both directions, occurred east of Route 9D and was reported shortly after 2 p.m.

An investigation indicates that a Toyota Corolla operated by Nazariy Myniv, 20, of Yorktown Heights, New York, was traveling southbound on Bear Mountain Bridge Road. Myniv reportedly entered the northbound lanes and struck a rock wall after he lost control of the vehicle, state police said.

Cortlandt EMS responded to the scene and transported Myniv to the Bear Mountain Circle where he was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.
