The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Friday to Dutchess County residents regarding the residency of 52-year-old Timothy Robinson, who has reported an address change to a Brady Lane apartment in Dover Plains.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Robinson a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated for lifetime registration, though he is subject to petition for relief.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Robinson had sexual intercourse and sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl in March 1992. He was arrested by the Nassau County Police Department's Missing Person and Sex Offender Registry Unit and sentenced to between two and four years in state prison in July that same year. Robinson is now under the jurisdiction of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
