The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 42-year-old Anthony Rodriguez, who has reported a move from Newburgh to a residence on Spackenkill Road in Poughkeepsie.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Rodriguez a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated for lifetime registration, though he is subject to petition for relief.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Rodriguez had sex with his 11-year-old victim in October 1993 and was convicted of second-degree rape in March the following year. He was sentenced to a term of between two and four years in state prison. Rodriguez is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie City Police Department.

Further info on Rodriguez from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
