POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The snow emergency declared Thursday morning for the City of Poughkeepsie will be lifted at 5 p.m., according to city officials.

The following services will re-open or resume on Friday:

City Bus routes will run on a regular schedule.

Sanitation and recycling collection will resume as scheduled for all Friday routes. Thursday routes will be collected on Monday, Feb. 13.

City Hall will re-open at 8:30 a.m.

Snow removal: Residents and business owners are reminded that they are required to clear sidewalks in front of and adjacent to their residences and businesses, as required by city ordinance. Placing snow into any roadway is a violation of the City of Poughkeepsie Code of Ordinances.

When shoveling driveways and sidewalks, residents are also reminded to remove the snow from around any fire hydrant common to their home or property.
