A registered sex offender convicted of raping a teenage girl has reported a move in Dutchess County.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 43-year-old Alex Blue, who has moved to an apartment on North Clinton Street in Poughkeepsie.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Blue as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Blue had sexual contact and intercourse a 13-year-old girl in 1998 and was convicted of third-degree rape two years later. He was sentenced to a term of between 21 and 42 months in state prison in June 2000.
