LAGRANGE, N.Y. -- Some pet owners in LaGrange felt as if they had been banished to the doghouse recently when they learned of a beloved park’s impending closing, according to a report in The Poughkeepsie Journal.
The See Spot Run Park in the Dutchess County town’s Overlook Park is being permanently shuttered on Thursday, Dec. 31, the Journal reported.
The town put the hammer down in October after receiving numerous complaints about rules violations, vandalism, and people being bitten, at the park, the report said.
Dog lovers who want to keep the park open said they planned to band together to help the town find a solution to the problems, the Journal reported.
