One Dead, Three Seriously Injured In Wappinger Crash

One person was killed and three people seriously injured in single-vehicle crash on Old Hopewell Road in the Town of Wappinger, according to New York State Police.

The crash took place around 6 p.m., Wednesday, on Old Hopewell Road, west of Cayuga Drive, when a blue 2007 Ford pickup truck rolled over, ejecting at least two passengers, said Trooper AJ Hicks.

The state police collision reconstruction unit closed the road for more than two hours from Dean Road to Old Route 9 in order to investigate the crash, state police said.

Three occupants were taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital with serious injuries, Hicks said.

One passenger, who was ejected, was pronounced dead at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, state police said.
