Missing Poughkeepsie Teen Found, Safe

A teen from Poughkeepsie who went missing on June 3 has been found and is safe, City of Poughkeepsie Police said.

Area law enforcement agencies are seeking the community’s assistance in locating a missing Dutchess County runaway teenager that has been missing for several days and may be in need of medical attention.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and local police have issued a missing person report for 16-year-old Jhaytem Canada, who was reported missing in on June 3.

Canada has been described as an approximately 5-foot 2-inch black girl, weighing approximately 120 pounds with red hair and brown eyes. Officials said she is a runaway and suffers from a history of depression and may be in need of medical attention. It is believed she may still be in the Poughkeepsie area, where she was last seen.
