DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - New York State Police in Dutchess County have arrested a 31-year-old man for allegedly stealing a video game console in Pleasant Valley.
On May 9, state police troopers were contacted by the victim, who reported that an acquaintance had illegally entered his home and stole an Xbox One.
Police said that following an investigation, it was determined that Millbrook resident Michael Aloia, who is known to the victim, had entered the home on the day prior, stealing the console.
Aloia was arrested by state police on Wednesday and charged with a felony count of second-degree burglary and petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned in the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 27.
