HARRISON, N.Y. -- Construction will force the nightly closure of the Westchester Avenue westbound ramp onto Interstate 684, causing delays on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights, according to the New York State Department of Transportation, or DOT.
Drivers will be detoured during the nightly closures, which are all expected to last between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to the DOT. Substantial traffic delays are expected.
The detour route will take drivers onto westbound Interstate-287 before they exit at Exit 6 (Route 22/North White Plains). Drivers should then make a left turn onto Orchard Street, a left turn onto Route 22 and a left turn back onto I-287 eastbound to Exit 9A for I-684 northbound, the DOT said.
The DOT asks that drivers use caution when traveling through a work zone and pay attention to all traffic control devices and signs.
