Filippo Cangialosi, 68, fell on Monday at his home on Stonegate Road in Valhalla,  Fulgenzi said.

"It's very sad when something like this happens," Fulgenzi said. "With the amount of snow and ice that we have had, it's best to leave this type of specialty work to a professional."

A visitation and wake for Cangialosi will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Manor Funeral Home at 575 Columbus Ave. in Thornwood.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:15 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Church at 170 Bradhurst Ave. in Hawthorne. Cangialosi will be buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
