Hopewell Junction Couple Nabbed With Heroin After Incident At Stewart's

East Fishkill Police nabbed two local residents with heroin and other drugs during a traffic stop Thursday on Route 82 following an incident at Stewart's Shop.

Officers stopped Mikal Anderson, 40, of Pleasant Valley, and Nicole Creighton, 30, of Poughkeepsie, around 10:45 p.m. on Route 82 in Hopewell Junction following the incident at the market, police said.

Once stopped, officers discovered that Anderson and Creighton were in possession of brown heroin, oxycodone, valium, marijuana, suboxone, MDMA, also known as "Molly," and about a $1,000 in cash, police said.

Anderson was charged with two counts of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance third-degree, two felony counts of criminal possession fifth-degree, and possession of marijuana. 

Creighton was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of Marijuana, a violation. 

Both Anderson and Creighton were arraigned before East Fishkill Justice Brian Rudner. Anderson was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. Creighton was released on her own recognizance. 

Both are due in East Fishkill court at a later date.
