EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Voters overwhelmingly decided to dissolve the Hillside Lake taxing district in East Fishkill.
Voters voted 183-3 to dissolve the district Saturday, which was created nearly twenty years ago.
The East Fishkill Town Board has six months to come up with a plan for the lake, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal . The town took over the lake in 1990 from a homeowner's association.
Residents have accused the town of neglecting the lake, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
