David Pitaniello, regional director of New York State Department of Health Small Business Marketplace, will discuss resources and answer questions regarding the New York State of Health Marketplace, at the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s February Contact Breakfast, on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel.

The New York State of Health Marketplace is designed to help people shop for and enroll in health insurance coverage. Individuals, families and small businesses can use the Marketplace to compare insurance options, calculate costs and select coverage as well as checking eligibility for and enrolling in programs such as Medicaid, and offering information on financial assistance to help offset the cost of health insurance.

In addition, February is Heart Month, shining a spotlight on the nation’s number one killer: heart disease, and the breakfast's sponsor, The Heart Center, will host Dr. Anthony Messina offering free heart-health screenings in the Palm Court during the breakfast. Anyone who receives a screening will be entered into a drawing to win two tickets to a cooking boot camp at the end of February at Le Express Bistro & Bar on New Hackensack Road in Poughkeepsie.

The breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tickets are $25 for members in advance, $30 at the door. Non-members can attend for $35. RSVP by calling 845-454-1700, ext. 1000 or visit dcrcoc.org.
