Kathie Fusco Pladl, 20, who attended Dover High School and lists her address on her website as Wingdale, and Steven Pladl, 42, from North Carolina, were arrested on Jan. 27 on charges of incest, adultery, and contributing to delinquency, according to USA Today.

Their story of "love" began when Fusco, who was given up by her parents in 1998 for adoption out-of-state, decided to use social media to find her real parents. She found them near Richmond, Va., and eventually moved in with them and their two children in August 2016, the paper reported.

In November of the same year, Pladl and his wife separated, and the former wife and Fusco's mother told authorities that the two were involved in a sexual relationship and that after confronting him, her former husband admitted the two were having a child and planned to get married, USA Today said.

In July, Fusco posted a photo on her Instagram account, showing the two together with the hashtags #justmarried and #simplewedding.

The couple reportedly moved to North Carolina and in November, police in Virginia issued warrants for their arrest, USA Today said.

According to her Instagram account, the couple's child was born in September.

The pair, who face extradition to Virginia, could face up to 10 years in prison.
