McVicker, who works as project leader in the Dutchess County Office of Central and Information Services was honored last week with a Best of New York Award for Demonstrated Excellence in Project Management for his Fleet Management Software Project.

The Best of New York Awards, given out by Center For Digital Government, recognize state and local government organizations for their standout contributions, best practices, and innovations in information technology that improve citizen services and internal operations.

The County’s Fleet Management software application is designed to assist the Dutchess County Department of Public Works’ Highway, Public Transit and Auto Center Divisions in managing the operation and maintenance of several hundred County vehicles and equipment.

Through the project, McVicker led the consolidation of three disparate fleet management applications into a single application.

“Receiving a Best of New York Award is a true honor," McVicker said.
