DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Even though start times have been adjusted over the years to accommodate their work schedules, only a handful of Dutchess County legislators have perfect attendance for full board and committee meetings, according to a report by the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Dutchess County Legislator Angela Flesland had a perfect attendance record for all official meetings over the last two years, according to county records.

Residents say that the legislators, who are paid a stipend, are elected to serve the public and have a duty to be present at all meetings, the Poughkeepsie Journal story said.
