DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- With the cold on the way, the Dutchess County Department of Public Works is finishing up construction jobs for the year, including work on the bridge on Clinton Hollow Road over the Little Wappinger Creek in the Town of Clinton.
The bridge, which averages about 850 vehicles a day, is complete and has reopened to two-way traffic, on schedule, and within budget, the department said.
Work included the replacement of a retaining wall, upgrades to the guide rail and repairs to pavement.
The bridge is one of five bridges and culvert projects set to be complete this month.
