Alliance@IBM Braces For Job Cuts At Global Technology Services Unit

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Workers group Alliance@IBM expects there to be serious job cuts in the company's Global Technology Services unit soon, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

While rumors persist that the entire GTS unit may be sold off, it may not affect workers in Dutchess County, noted the Journal.

That's because the majority of the local workers are in IBM's Systems group, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

The company doesn't announce or report planned layoffs publicly, the Journal says.
