31 Dutchess Residents Face Charges In Holiday DWI Detail

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Fifty-eight people and 31 Dutchess residents were arrested for driving while intoxicated during a holiday crackdown conducted by the Dutchess County Sheriff's and several local law enforcement agencies.

“Once again we acknowledge the efforts and commitment of law enforcement personnel who worked throughout the holiday crackdown to ensure safety on the roadways for all of us," said Dutchess County STOP-DWI Coordinator Williams Johnson.

Dutchess County residents arrested included:

  • Nicole Sheldon, 37, of Wappingers Falls, was charged with DWAI-combined influence drugs/alcohol in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
  • Yvette Smith, 37, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWAI-combined influence drugs/alcohol and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the City of Poughkeepsie.
  • James Murdock, 72, of Rhinebeck, was charged with DWI in the Town of Rhinebeck.
  • Jonathan Idlongo, 31, of Millbrook, was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI in the Town of Pleasant Valley.
  • Edmund Marian, 47, of LaGrange, was charged with DWI and BAC .08% or more in the Town of LaGrange.
  • Emmanuel Hatziantoniuo, 45, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI BAC .08% or more in the Town of Wappinger.
  • Kimone Rudolph, 40, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI in the City of Poughkeepsie.
  • Justin Pavia, 27, of Amenia, was charged with DWI in the Town of Amenia.
  • Rodney Williams, 56, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with felony DWI in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
  • Jose Cortes, 36, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI and BAC .08% or more in the City of Poughkeepsie.
  • Dominique Pillot, 19, of Pleasant Valley, was charged with DWAI drugs in the Town of Pleasant Valley.
  • Joga Singh, 35, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI and BAC .08% or more in the City of Poughkeepsie.
  • Victor Ramirez, 35, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI and BAC.08% or more in the City of Poughkeepsie.
  • Joseph Lawton, 31, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with obstructing governmental administration & resisting arrest as well as leaving the scene of a property damage auto crash.
  • Melinda Brooker, 25, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI and BAC .08% or more as well as aggravated DWI (Leandra’s Law) a felony. The aggravated DWI was a felony since she was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition while having a child less than 16 yoa in the vehicle.
  • Robert Skovan, 55, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI and BAC.08% or more.
  • Roman Ruiz-Lavariega, 36, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI and BAC.08% or more.
  • Angelica Salese, 37, of Wappingers Falls, was charged with DWI and BAC.08% or more.
  • Rigoberto Gonzalez, 35, of Beacon, was charged with DWI and BAC.08% or more.
  • Sean Jackson, 46, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI and BAC.08% or more.
  • Michael Eighmie, 44, of Dover Plains, was charged with DWI and BAC.08% or more.
  • Christopher Megna, 45, of Hyde Park, was charged with DWI and BAC.08% or more.
  • David Owens, 34, of Beacon, was charged with DWI and BAC.08% or more.
  • Walter Miranda, 52, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI (BAC.18% or more).
  • William Kay, 47, of Rhinebeck, was charged with DWI.
  • Johnny Almengol, 43, of Fishkill, was charged with DWI.
  • Jason Gast, 23, of Dover Plains, was charged with DWAI drugs.
  • Angela Floryan, 40, of Wappingers Falls, NY was charged with DWAI drugs.
  • Michael Jensen, 20, of Fishkill, was charged with DWAI drugs.
  • Agatha Morel, 54, of Wappingers Falls, was charged with DWI and BAC .08% in the Town of Hyde Park.
  • Emily Graves, 30, Pawling, was charged with DWI, BAC .08% or more and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the Village of Millerton. 

The special details taking part in the crackdown included members of the Sheriff's Office, the New York State Police, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, the Town of Hyde Park Police Department, the Town of East Fishkill Police Department, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, the Village of Red Hook Police Department and the Village of Millerton Police Department.

Funded by the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee and the NYS STOP-DWI Foundation, the objective of the crackdown was to reinforce the message that impaired driving remains a priority in Dutchess County.
