James Earl Jones, a Pawling resident, was honored Sunday for his life's work on the Great White Way.
The actor received a lifetime achievement award at the Tony Awards. Jones has appeared in 20 Broadway plays and won two Tonys for his performances in the "The Great White Hope" and "Fences."
During his speech, Jones thanked his father and talked about his wife, Cecilia Hart, who died last October.
Offstage, he is best known for voicing Darth Vader in the "Star Wars" movies.
