POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Anderson Center for Autism and Mill House Brewing Company in Poughkeepsie recently announced plans to once again join forces in honor of Autism Awareness Month this April as the highly anticipated “Mr. Anderson Ale” is released for the public to enjoy.

The unique brew, first developed by Jamie Bishop and Larry Stock of Mill House Brewing, is a nod to Anderson’s long history and to its continued work in optimizing quality of life for individuals with Autism, according to a release from Anderson Center for Autism.

“The brew honors the Scottish heritage of Victor V. Anderson, who founded the organization in 1924.," said Bishop. "His grandson, Vance Gage, was even our honorary brewmaster when we created the first batch, which was not only fun, but served to remind us of his grandfather’s legacy and how the organization continues to grow and expand upon that legacy.”

The ale is described as being smooth and malty, and according to Bishop, “really captures signature Scottish flavors. But most importantly, Bishop adds, “We are helping a local organization, and that is the best part of this brew.”

One dollar of every pint sold by Mill House Brewing Company during April (Autism Awareness Month) will be donated to Anderson Center for Autism.

Anderson Center for Autism's mission is to optimize quality of life for people with autism. For more information, visit andersoncenterforautism.org.
