The bakery is known for everything from its amazing cakes to its fresh coffee and danish.
"We have just about everything in one stop," store manager Amanda Velez told Daily Voice recently. "People can get breakfast, lunch and dinner. We pride ourselves in our customer service, and everything is home made. Everything is made on the premises."
M&D strives to have a relaxed atmosphere. "We serve serious food in a not-so-serious atmosphere," Velez said.
And the response from the public has been clear. "People come from all over," Velez said. "They love the brownies, the bread, the blueberry sour cream pound cake is very popular, and we have old fashioned milk shakes and malts, and ice cream."
The bar boasts all types of drinks made with fresh ingredients, micro brews and all kinds of creations, and the restaurant offers lots of great food, and the menu is updated often.
The restaurant also offers special events and special dinners - such as "A Dinner With Dickens" (slated for December 6) - where the menu for the evening is created using time period recipes for classic food and drink.
