"Eyewitness," which airs at 10 p.m., is a murder thriller based in the Village of Tivoli, in northwest Dutchess County.

The 10-episode drama begins when a pair of teenage boys (played by actors James Paxton and Tyler Young) witness a triple homicide while secretly meeting in a cabin.

Things get even more complicated because the mother of one of the boys, played by actress Julianne Nicholson, is also the town's sheriff.

“It carries some of the DNA of a Lifetime movie of the week, but the writing and direction are better than that, and Mr. Paxton and especially Mr. Young are quite good,” according to a review in The New York TImes.
