POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Hudson River Valley provides some of the area's most impressive scenic views, and there aren't many places better than the Poughkeepsie waterfront to enjoy some of the best around - especially in winter.

Wintertime is one of the best times to wander along the Hudson on the Poughkeepsie waterfront - from the imposing sight of the Walkway over the Hudson to the multi-colored, lit-up Mid-Hudson Bridge, to the Poughkeepsie Ice House, Victor C. Waryas Park, the Hudson River Rowing Association, the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum, and on up to Shadows on the Hudson, there's plenty to explore.
