The classes will be led by yoga and meditation instructor Amy Soucy.

These fun, engaging, teen-appropriate classes will explore yoga and mindfulness using postures, breathing practices, creative visualization and relaxation and meditation techniques, according to a release from the Howland Public Library.

Students will learn how to redirect their energy and relieve stress and anxiety, while developing confidence in themselves and their abilities, the release said.

A segment will also be devoted to discussions that center on teen-related issues like self-esteem, accomplishment, body image, stress, anger and happiness, offering young people the chance to express themselves safely, in community.

The program is for teens and tweens ages 11 and older. Registration is required. To register and for additional information, guests can contact Michelle at communityart@beaconlibrary.org or (845)-831-1134, ext. 101.

The classes will be from 11 a.m. - noon on both Mondays.

The library is at 313 Main St., Beacon.
