Howland Cultural Center Celebrates Women Growers In Beacon

BEACON, N.Y. -- Southern Dutchess NAACP will celebrate women growers with a program entitled The Seed, The Herb and The Song on Saturday, March 26.

The event will take place at 2 p.m. at the Howland Cultural Center, 477 Main St. in Beacon. For more information call the center at 845-831-4988

Guest speakers for the event are Ava Bynum, executive director, Hudson Valley Seed; and Sarah Elisabeth, master herbalist.

The event will feature a documentary film screening of “Taking Root."

Refreshments will be served with donations accepted at the door at the cost of: $10 adults, $8 seniors, $5 children.
