From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Falcon Room of Dutchess Community College, more than 20 businesses and organizations offering special goods and/or services to those with disabilities will be on display. Admission is free.

Organized by Poughkeepsie-based Abilities First, the event is supported by state and local governments, regional non-profits and agencies involved in enhancing the lives of those with specail needs.

Abilities First officials said they chose the college, 53 Pennell Road, because it is accessible to those with disabilities, and the parking lot offers plenty of handicap parking spaces.

Some of the agencies that will have displays at the expo include Camp Huntington, Special Olympics New York Winter Games, Down Syndrome Association Hudson Valley and Walkway over the Hudson.

There will also be activites, such as the traveling petting zoo from Two by Two Zoo, and demonstrations from Seeing Eye dogs and the Challenger Leagues. Rascal, the official mascot of the Hudson Valley Renegades, will also make an appearance.

Ablities First serves about 1,200 adults and children with disabilities in the Hudson Valley region. For more details, visit the Abilities First website.
