POUGHQUAG, N.Y. - In honor of the 2016 Hudson Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival taking place at Barton Orchards this weekend, here's a look at some highlights from recent festivals, from launches at the Hudson River Rowing Association Boathouse.

Photo Credit: Skip PearlmanThis year's festival got off to a slow start Friday due to bad weather, but organizers were hoping for better weather Saturday, and Sunday looks like the best possible day for launches.
Mass launches are planned for 6 a.m. and p.m. both days. Activities are planned at Barton Orchards for both days as well.
