POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The newly designed Spins Bowl in Poughkeepsie will celebrate its grand reopening with festivities on Thursday, Jan. 21.
“We are thrilled with the new Spins décor, which is the sort of industrial chic feel you would expect in a Brooklyn location,” said Bill Diamond, owner and partner at Spins Bowl. “Our centers will have a strong focus on craft food and beer, and deliver top-shelf entertainment activities for families and adults. We believe that Spins Bowl Poughkeepsie will be the premier private event destination for Duchess County.”
The grand opening celebration will feature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and speeches from local dignitaries at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m., VIPS will simultaneously roll their bowling balls down their respective lanes for a special "roll-off." After the "roll-off," guests will be encouraged to bowl and tour the 50,000-square-foot facility until the ceremony concludes at 9 p.m.
The new flagship location features 34-lane bowling on brand-new, synthetic lanes with new furniture, redesigned flooring, bathrooms, restaurant, lighting, projection televisions, a VIP area, and a roof and facade.
Spins Bowl also features a 4,000-square-foot redemption arcade, a 4,000-square-foot laser tag arena and a restaurant/bar.
More than $2 million was invested in the restoration of the former Hoe Bowl Mardi Bob Lanes Bowling Center.
