POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The future Golden Corral on South Road may have missed its scheduled summer opening, but the franchise owner is confident the restaurant will be open by Thanksgiving, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Groundbreaking at the South Road property occurred in April, but Sherrance Henderson, the franchise owner, said a lack of necessary building supplies delayed the project, according to the Journal.
The restaurant is expected to bring as many as 125 jobs to the area once it opens next month, according to the Journal, which reported that four of the jobs will be in restaurant management.
Once opened, the restaurant will be one of two Golden Corrals in the region, according to the Journal, which reported that the chain restaurant opened another franchise in June in Middletown.
