According to a Hudson Valley Country report, the franchise has told customers that the location has been shut down and the franchise agreement has been terminated, meaning the eatery will remain closed indefinitely.

Initially, the restaurant was scheduled to open on New Year’s Eve, though that opening eventually got pushed two weeks to Jan. 15 due to issues with the building’s gas line. Then, in February, the Poughkeepsie Golden Corral unexpectedly was closed down for a weekend for undisclosed reasons.

On Feb. 27, Daily Voice reported first-responders were dispatched to Golden Corral after receiving a report of an apparent drug overdose involving a male victim found in the bathroom, according to fire chief Tory G. Galante. To read that story, click here.
