Mulligan's Irish House In Poughkeepsie Closes

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Mulligan's Irish House served its final last call On Monday, May 16, before the 47-year-old institution in the Town of Poughkeepsie closed, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

The bar was listed for sale online and a sign at the property said it was sold. Its Facebook page alluded to the bar's closure, and multiple patrons posted to the page about its last day, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Mulligan's was opened in 1969 by John and Margaret Mulligan who owned and operated the bar until their retirement, when their daughter, Margaret Ann Mulligan, took over as owner, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
