The Dutchess-Putnam Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) saw a 3.6% increase in private sector job growth in February – the fourth consecutive month of job growth, outpacing growth in the Hudson Valley, New York State and nationwide, according to this report.

Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, said the positive job outlook "reflects our economic vitality seen throughout Dutchess County, with more than $2.6 billion in construction projects currently underway, an expanding craft manufacturing industry, continued growth in our heritage agriculture industry and more."

This development and investment, combined with 'Th!nk Dutchess' aggressive marketing campaign, is paying dividends in our local economy,” Molinaro said.
