"Women often buy the band too big and the cup too small, which causes the band to ride up their back, have the straps fall off their shoulders and cause breasts to fall forward," she said. "I often tell women to go down in the band and up in the cup and the fit will change and you will get the lift you are looking for."

Savarese promises this small change will have your clothes fitting better. "You will also look thinner instantly by lifting up your breast and creating a more defined waist line, " she said.

Her secret? Measuring around the ribcage and bust line. After more than 20 years in business, she can often tell a woman's size just by looking at her.

"The most important thing to know is that you will be different sizes in different styles, just like clothes," she said. "Don't get caught up in the numbers just the results."

Savarese's bra journey began back in 1996 when she started as a fitter at Nordstroms. This was also where she was trained as a post-mastectomy fitter, a cause close to her heart as she lost her mother at 17 after a long 11-year battle with metastatic breast cancer.

"Basically, somehow, my life was always about breasts in some way, first seeing my mom go through losing hers to cancer to the fact that I was an early and full developer, which as a teenager was of course the worst thing ever," she said.

At 23 she had a breast reduction, and it wasn't until after that that she walked into the Nordstrom lingerie department for what she thought would be a temporary job, and was fit in the right bra that everything changed. "If I had been fit before my surgery it probably wouldn't have meant so much," she said.

In 2015 she struck out on her own, calling herself The Bra Fit Expert and doing bra parties and private consultations. Now a member of the Beacon Women In Business, you can find her at Echo on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
